The Eye

I have found that taking a good picture of the eye is a lot harder then I thought. I figured if you light it well and take a good macro it would look great. I found this weekend that is not the case. Here are a couple pictures I took this weekend of my wife's eye. I played with some different effects to see how it would look. I think the cyanotype was my favorite.

Coming up with the perfect ad

Coming up with the perfect ad is turning out to be harder then I though. I have a rough draft ad together for my wedding business and am using craiglist.org to try and market it. So far I have gotten one wedding out of craigslist, I would have had two but I waited too long to follow up. Let me know what you think about the ad!

Time to give the blog thing a try

Well I have never been very good with the whole blog thing but I need to change that. As I grow my photography business I want to keep a record that I can share with fellow photographers so we can learn from each other. I am very passionate about photography and am greatly looking forward to the day when I can leave my 9-5 technology job and be a full time photographer! At this point I am trying to learn every thing I can from the great Wedding and Senior photographers of the world.
